Nik started working at PARDS as a barn hand in 2019. Nik cleans the stalls, makes sure water buckets are filled and does general cleanup in the barn ensuring our horses and riders have a clean environment during lessons. During his time here he saw the riders during their lessons and saw the enjoyment and physical benefits and now participates himself in the Therapeutic Riding Program at PARDS and is enjoying it very much. Nik has lived in Grande Prairie all his life and has worked at various businesses around the city. He is an active member in the Special Olympics, Grande Prairie program and is currently participating in bowling, snow shoeing and basketball. Nik enjoys watching the Grande Prairie Storm hockey games and is looking forward to playing floor hockey when it can fit into his schedule.
Nik is always a friendly face and is willing to help out whenever and wherever needed. He takes special care to always make time for his favourite equine friend, Holly. If you catch him around the barn you are sure to catch a glimpse of his warm personality and great sense of humour.
