Hi, I’m Kathy! I was born and raised Grande Prairie so my roots in this community go deep. I have always been involved with horses, even now, from showing to racing to which I still do part time. I have a diploma in Early Education and have been working in schools for almost 7 years, so understand the value of programs for people living with disabilities. I studied at the Grande Praire Regional College and continue to take courses to advance my education in children’s disabilities, in both learning and physical. I’ve always had a place in my heart for PARDS for many years. I have volunteered in the barn and lessons, ridden in their fundraising rides, supported fundraisers, which I love to do, especially the ones with a win involved, (I can be a tad competitive) and I strive to do my best in any task given to me. I’ve leased my own horses, Cleatus and a pony named Chevy who is still there to PARDS to be used in their programs. I’m very honoured to be part of this organization and helping it move forward to continue the support of PARDS riders and keeping the smiles on so many!
